Resilience

For 27 years, we’ve aimed to create funds which can weather the times, whatever they might be. And even as the landscape rapidly changes, we continue to stress-test and implement our proven long-term, valuation-driven investment approach, whilst incorporating new information daily.

Determination

We realise this is only the beginning of a challenging economic journey for all of us. However, by applying rigour and carefully analysing each investment opportunity, we can create, sustain and protect your investments, now and into the future.

Humanity

We currently look after millions of South African’s investments. This isn’t a responsibility we take lightly. And it’s why we’re working tirelessly every day to make sure your money is put to work judiciously.

Unity

Since 1993, we’ve stood by this country. And we will always continue to do so. It’s why we support the Solidarity Fund; and why management and employees have contributed sizeable portions of their remuneration to mitigate the effects of the pandemic across communities.

It all comes to down to Trust

Particularly when it comes to investing.

About
Coronation

Since 1993, Coronation has been committed to growing your hard-earned money into real wealth, over time. And we’ve consistently managed to achieve this through the many ups and downs of the last 27 years.

But earning  your trust goes far beyond just investment performance, it extends into the heart of our organisation. As an active corporate citizen, we are committed to building an equitable and inclusive society. Which is why meaningful transformation is a key ingredient of our DNA, actively supporting education and helping to build a more vibrant, equal financial industry.

Coronation was one of South Africa’s very first independent asset managers, born through a breakaway from the large financial institutions of the time. And despite now being one of South Africa’s largest fund managers, we proudly retain the entrepreneurial spirit of a boutique.

Approach
to investing

No matter how the times change, our investment principles remain. We prize shared insight, collaboration, persistent rigor and research to ensure we find the best possible long-term investment opportunities.

We have one global investment team who usually work together in an open-plan office at our Cape Town headquarters. Of course, while we work from home during these times, we’ve found fresh ways of ensuring nothing is lost in how we interact and our ability to share investment ideas.

How we earn
your trust

Since our inception, we’ve strived to earn your trust through delivering meaningful returns on your investments. And, over the long-term, we’ve achieved market-beating results across our fund range.

Each of our funds are built to match the varying needs of investors, enabling you to select those that best meet your individual needs. Our unit trust funds give you access to both local and international equity, bond and property markets, as do our range of tax-free investments, and retirement and life products.

Investing with
Coronation

Unit trust funds are the simplest, most cost-effective way for you to invest with Coronation. They’re effectively a basket of different financial asset classes such as equities, bonds and listed property. When you invest, your money buys you a portion - or unit - of each asset in the fund you’ve chosen.

The sooner you get started, the more opportunity your money has to grow. So, if you can, start today. You can start with as little as R500 per month.

All you need to do is answer two simple questions which will help you find the right fund.

  • How much can I afford to put aside every month?
  • How long can I keep my money invested?

Once you’ve answered these questions, find a fund which works for you. Or, if you’re ready, you can start investing now.

Our Head of Personal Investments, Pieter Koekemoer explains some investment basics.
