The Nelson Mandela Children's fund supports organisations implementing programmes and projects that empower children from impoverished backgrounds to improve the quality of their lives. The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund places emphasis on creative, innovative and participatory initiatives that have the potential to change the ways in which society responds to children and youth. It relies upon donations from individuals and corporates. Since January 1997 Coronation has managed the assets of the fund for no financial compensation.
