You've just taken the first step towards enjoying the benefits of tax-free growth.

What is a tax-free investment?

A tax-free account is a government initiative to improve national savings through a tax break incentive. SA citizens can contribute up to R36 000 per year to a tax-free investment (TFI) account where their investment returns grow completely free of local tax.

This means that your investment value is not reduced by any local income, dividends, or capital gains tax.

Invest from as little as R250 per month via debit order or a lump sum amount of R5 000

Why should I choose to invest with Coronation?

Our approach has been tried and tested over 30 years.

Coronation is one of the largest and most successful unit trust fund managers in the country. We have over R750 billion in assets under management, and our clients are always at the centre of all our decision-making.

You can choose a suitable Coronation unit trust fund to meet your needs

With a TFI account you are still free to choose any of Coronation’s funds to power your investment returns.

TFIs improve your outcomes in the long-term

Not paying tax means there is more money invested to grow. The benefits of investing tax-free compound over time, and therefore TFI accounts are best used for long-term investment goals.

Withdraw from your TFI at any time

With a Coronation TFI you are free to withdraw your funds at any time or switch into a more suitable Coronation fund as your needs change.

You can only contribute up to a maximum of R36 000 per tax year

And R500 000 over a lifetime.  It’s a use-it-or-lose it principle, which is why it’s best to max out your contributions every tax year - without fail. (we will remind you every year to top up if you haven’t done so).

How this chart is calculated

The current investment amount is calculated based on the past performance figures of the fund. Performance is measured on NAV prices with income distributions reinvested and quoted after the deduction of all cost incurred within the fund. Past performance is not necessarily an indication of future performance. Lump sum and monthly contributions are assumed to be made at the beginning of the month, with the first monthly contribution occurring in the 2nd month. An Internal Rate of Return calculation is used when a monthly contribution is selected. It is an indicative approximation of the actual return. The value of investments may go down as well as up, and is therefore not guaranteed.
